February 12th 2010, - Rallyarmor releases Version 2 Rally Mud Flap Application
for
2008 - 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI
Since the initial launch of the UR mud flaps for 2008-2010 Subaru STI in March 2008, Rally Armor has compiled helpful feedback from STI owners and have completely redesigned the mud flap application and its mounting system.
The just released Version 2 (V.2) mud flap includes now features precision cut stainless steel brackets for both fronts and rears, significantly reduced hardware components while offering extended coverage and improving clearance between the flap and wheel. V.2 flaps also present a cleaner line and subtler profile relative to its predecessor.
Using the same premium urethane as Version 1, Version 2 has been reengineered for STI owners who have or are planning to swap out stock wheel set ups. The improved mounting system totally eliminates any alteration to the fender liner and does away with the rear drill/clamp method thereby simplifying installation. Event Draws Over 600 and Raises $10,000
Newburgh, NY: Over 600 Subaru enthusiasts converged at Orange County Choppers (OCC) in Newburgh, NY on August 29, 2009 for the 1st All Subaru Meet to benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and the Hudson Valley SPCA (HVSPCA).
In what was “OCC’s best attended single manufacturer meet to date,” as per Orange County Chopper’s photographer and representative Storm Sasaki, approximately 300 Subarus made the trip to the custom bike building shop featured on TLC’s American Chopper to participate in and/or spectate the car show, enter to win raffle prizes donated by sponsors Rally Armor, NY/Northern New Jersey based Subaru Distributors Corp., Ultimate Collision Center, Black Flame Customs, Borla, Epic Engineering to name a few and to celebrate the community of Subarus. Attendees were treated to general tours of the 100,000SF facility in addition to autograph signings by OCC’s Paul Teutal Sr. and Rick Petko.

More importantly, the enthusiasts came out in support of two not-for-profit organizations, the The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and the Hudson Valley SPCA (HVSPCA). With nearly 300 Subarus and approximately 55 modified show cars, it was quite an impressive turnout considering the presence of less than desirable intermittent rain and clouds.
Global media brand MTV Iggy’s production crew attended in a show of solidarity to the Subaru community arriving in an orange hued STI. The film crew was there to document the event as part of a 6-part series covering the US car culture. They captured footage and interviews throughout the day from sponsors to show car participants.
All Subaru Meet car show winners won trophies for best in their classes. Classes included: Best Overall Subaru, Best GH Impreza WRX/STI, Best GD Impreza WRX/STI, Best GC Impreza WRX/STI, Best Forester and Best Legacy. All show entrants received event goodie bags filled with assorted items such as Meguiar’s cleaners, Rockstar Energy Drink hats, Drive Performance Magazine, SubieSport Magazine, RIX Magazine, 0-60 Magazine, All Subaru Meet tee shirts, Sagemind Solutions Web hosting gift certificates, Innovative Technology clocks and more.

In an outpouring of support for the All Subaru Meet product donation drive, “Subarus Drive for the Hudson Valley SPCA,” attendees contributed approximately 500 pounds of dry and wet foods, toys and supplies for the HVSPCA’s shelter dogs and cats.
The All Subaru Meet doghouse, fabricated by sponsor Precision Plus Contracting, served as the drop off bin and quickly overflowed with donations. The supply would help to offset the shelter’s operating expenses for some time to come. In an attempt to promote adoption, handlers from the HVSPCA animal mobile unit escorted their shelter dogs through the crowd of Subaru enthusiasts. As a result the organization reported 6 adoption applications. As per Tom DiCarrado, President of the HVSPCA, “this is a start to a careful evaluation process to place the animals with qualified applicants.” The final number of successful adoptions will be announced in the coming weeks.

Several sponsors including the winners of the highest online donation to the ASPCA and greatest raffle ticket purchase took private behind-the-scenes tours of the Orange County Chopper facility lead by Storm Sasaki. The group toured the workshop, offices and conference room featured on American Chopper. Storm also guided the group to an exclusive viewing of several custom built choppers
With donations by Subaru Distributors Corp. of Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT) products, Rally Armor mud flaps and skid plates, Invidia uppipe, Borla gift certificate, Hudson Historics gift certificates for complimentary dyno pulls, Snow Performance methanol injection kit, HID kit donated by JNA Performance, light retrofitment by Black Flame Customs, Ultimate Collision Center detailing gift certificates and much more, the raffle was a phenomenal success.
In total, $10,000 was raised. These funds were direct results from on site contributions, sales of raffle tickets, All Subaru Meet at OCC tee shirts, goodie tote bags, car show registrations and from generous donations by key contributing sponsors including: Rally Armor, Mid-Hudson Subaru, Konig, Metric Subaru Performance Tuning (MSPT), NC Rally, DBA, and RallySport Direct. In appreciation, event emcee MC Slick thanked the sponsors through regular company name announcements.
