Question: How difficult is
it to change the oil on the vehicle with the skid
plate installed?
Answer: Our rally skid plate uses existing
mounting holes which make installation and removal
a snap! Simply remove the mounting bolts and you have
complete access to the vehicle. In many cases, it
is actually faster than the plastic
OEM pieces provided. (Many of you can attest to fumbling
with brittle underbody plastic fasteners during oil
changes) No drilling/tapping required.
Question: I noticed that there are no oil drain holes
on your skid plates, can you create one for me?
Answer: Rally armor specifically does not
include oil drain holes in our plates for a number
of reasons. The first being it creates a place where
debris, gravel, sand and rocks can enter the engine
compartment area, cutting holes in the material may
create a nice visual effect but hinders the functionality
greatly. Another reason is strength.
We have specifically designed all our plates to provide
you with the best coverage and strength possible.
Our customers and competition vehicles depend on this.
Question: Can I use quick oil change valves (ie Fumoto)
with my plate?
Answer: The majority of these valves extend
way beyond the oil pan which makes it a fulcrum for
any damage incurred to the vehicle and are not recommended
for use with your skid plate. Depending on the brand
of valve, it also may not clear.
Question :Will the skid plate clear my aftermarket
headers?
Answer: They may or may not. please contact
us for specific fitment our requested adjustments
to conform to your specific setup.
